I've been wrestling with my CNC to produce ukulele components for a year now and have got the basic stuff down. I recently designed a jig and tool paths seen performing here https://www.facebook.com/artisanukulele ... TE0Nzg5Mg/
I only understand 2D work so I end up finishing the process by hand carving the string ramps. I don't know how to post and image so will describe the se- they are the slopping 'truncated cylinder' shapes that the strings go over to attach to the tuning posts. I know I can model these in V carve pro but just don't know how. Can anyone enter into a dialogue with me to help me with this off of this forum so I can either Skype or send video or somehow get this last part done...

First off, we are honored to have someone of your talent on the forum.
If so the fastest method is to use a large diameter ballnose bit and a fluting toolpath. There are ways to do it with smaller bits as well. Am I understanding you correctly?

Yes. I know that would be one way but it would require a tool change. I am looking to complete all operations with a 5mm bull nose bit...

Here is one approach. Basically I took one of the 3D domes and changed it to subtract so it would be concave instead of convex.

As I sat thinking about the problem last night I came to this conclusion as well. I drew out what I thought it should look like using the tools but don't quite know how to create the dish tool path.
