Getting started

Post by Gunny Rogers »

I have purchased a CNC Piranha about 2 years ago. I kept it clean and under wraps until I could dedicate my time to learning about its use. I recently purchased "Cut2D Desktop" in order to start my journey in learning how to use this machine. I designed a simple sign and saved it according to the tutorials but when I connected everything up and applied power the only thing that happened was two lights lit up, ( one green and one red). There was also a low thumping sound from the 'z' axis motor. The little monitor that cam with the machine din not turn on. The paperwork that cam with the machine had no troubleshooting section that I could discover what was wrong. Could I receive some assistance in this matter.

I think you need to talk to Piranha about this, Gunny. Do they have a help line or a forum?

The Piranha is made by Next Wave Automation. They have a web site with help information as well as a users forum.

Yes call Piranha support.

But 2 years later, you may find that you are out of warranty.

Find a dedicated Piranha CNC forum and post the same question....chances are that another user has experienced the same or similar issue.

I guess you've looked online and read the manual troubleshooting section?
