moulding toolpath help
moulding toolpath help
I am trying to make a convex arc with the moulding toolpath with a .625 core box cutter. Can't seem to get it the way I want it. Not going deep enough and the end of the arc is a higher z value than the start of the arc.
Re: moulding toolpath help
another picture of actual cut. Do I have to compensate for bit diameter?

Re: moulding toolpath help
Try adding a boundary offset of half the bit diameter. Should allow the bit to travel further out and lower down to get the full curve machined.

On a serious note a picture would be a good way to show others just how well Scotts advice helped solve the problem, will help others with the same problem
