Hi All,
We have an order for 50,000 plastic tags that are all sequentially numbered. I am the Graphic Designer and need to set up the artwork to be carved. I downloaded a stick font that I can use in InDesign because it's easy to do the sequential numbering in that program. When we open the file in VCarve, the router ends up tracing each letter and number twice. It takes an entire day if not longer to do 200 tags. At this rate we'll never get the job done! I need a font that will only be traced once and that is compatible with InDesign. I've searched everywhere and these fonts are so hard to find. If this is not possible, is there any other way to do the sequential numbering in another program that would work in VCarve? Or is it possible replace fonts with the VCarve fonts when you open it in there?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Stick Fonts and Sequential Numbering
VCarve has the ability to do sequential numbering itself. Look at Plate Production in the Offset and Layout section. You can then use the single line fonts in VCarve which will only cut once unlike the true type stick fonts that you are using at the moment which because true type fonts cannot have open vectors are actually closed loops which is why they cut twice.

Which fonts in v-carve are single line fonts?? Is this something I have to install separately? I don't recall seeing any new fonts sine I installed??Adrian wrote:VCarve has the ability to do sequential numbering itself. Look at Plate Production in the Offset and Layout section. Click on the Text Tool and select Single Line in the dialog.

The single line fonts install with the main program & unfortunately can't be added to, I have some with my signmaking software that I would have liked to install if it were possible
