Re: Groups
I haven't used that font myself, but when do V carved lettering I end up using the fluting tool path. I'm sure there's a better way to do it and someone that knows how will chime in.

Re: Groups
If you're VCarving script text and you enter it using the VCarve text tool there's no need to do anything as the VCarve toolpath will handle the overlaps etc.
If the text is vectors (either imported or created by converting text to curves) then you need to make sure that there are no overlaps between the letters and they all flow together. The tools to use in that scenario are the Weld too and the Interactive Trim tool.

Re: Groups
Thanks Adrian, I’ll try your suggestions.
Re: Groups
Wbrock, thanks for your suggestion. I have never used the fluting tool path so far. Is there any differents between the tool paths. Do you use a v-bit with the fluting tool path.

Re: Groups
Thanks sharkcutup Where do you think I ran into problems?
Re: Groups
Depends on the look I'm after. If want a fancier look I use the V bit, for a plain jane look I use a 1/16" end mill

Re: Groups
Can you post the .crv file? I would like to review what you have to see if I can resolve your problem?

Re: Groups
Where did the text come from? Create it in VCarve with the text tool and you won't have any issues.
Re: Groups
I’ll try that, I have carved block letters. This was the first time with script.

Re: Groups
So was this text that you created in another software & then imported into Vcarve as Vectors?
As long as your fonts are in the windows font folder they will be shown in Vcarve, if it's just a straight line of text rotated 90 degrees it's easy enough to just use Vcarve to create it as Adrian says
