Question about virtual zero and touch plate

Post by Wayney »

Hi, this is my 1st post here and I am only 2 weeks into using Vcarve and my HD4. I decided to try to use my touch plate for virtual zero yesterday and I ran into an odd issue. I ran the program as outlined across all 5 points of the work piece, accepted them and allowed it to tie to my file I was going to run. Everything seemed fine until I started the file at which point the cnc moved down the table away from the work piece and started to run the file. I did the set up 5x and each time it did the same thing. The last run I verified that I had home properly set, which it was, before I started with the plate again. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? It seems so simple that I cant imagine that I am missing a step.

Thanks,

Wayne

Virtual zero is a process that applies to the Shark machines only so you may get a quicker answer by going to the Next Wave forums.
