Mail Repository

Post by galerdude »

Needed a mail sorter in the house (long story  ) so went with a modified version of the Aspire project, "Mail Repository".
Same general main board only narrower and taller. And rather than have names on it, decided on some 3d carvings. Her and I know what they mean ;) .
All cherry wood, various pieces and sizes. All glued, no brads or screws.
1/8"em for the 3d rough @ 110
1/16"bn for the finish @ 75
60 V-bit for the V-carve @ 100
1/4"em for the cut out @ 80
Router speed @ 5 to 5.5 out of 6 on all procedures.

Thanks! I looked for an "edit" button in order to edit my original post. Couldn't find one. Anyways, It wasn't an "Aspire project", it was a "Vectric project". The project, when released a few years back, was doable with V-carve. I see no reason one couldn't modify the design as I did and use V-carve designs in place of the 3d ones I chose.
