Has anyone looked at this file and saw the same problem I did? Just curious.

I concur. With offset toolpath there is no ramp, but if I change to raster I do see the ramp.

Looked at the file, confirmed the issue. Don't know why it's not ramping.

Travishuffman,
I'd recommend that you also send the file to support@vectric.com and explain that ramping is not working properly for the pocket toolpath, but if it is changed to a raster pocket then ramping works. They can look at it and either provide a explanation and workaround, or come up with a code patch to address the issue.

Let us know what you hear from them.

Here is the reply I received from Vectric. Thanks for all the help on this Forum. You all are Great!
" Many thanks for your inquiry and the file.
Ramp moves are being added to the toolpath, but I am afraid that with the particular
tool step over settings that you have used for this toolpath, there are some fill in sections
required to cover all of the pocket at the stepover value that you have selected
the software will tend to apply the entry points at these small areas to improve the surface finish
and it is at these areas that the ramp moves are being applied.
A consequence of this is that the ramps moves are being applied over an exceeding small area.
(This can be best viewed by switching off the shared 3D toolpath view and just viewing the wireframe toolpath).
With this particular toolpath, I would recommend that you increase the stepover of the tool to be a little closer to 50% of the diameter of the tool.

(47% seems to work fine).
This change would eliminate the need for additional moves in the wider areas of the toolpath and the software would
then apply the ramp moves away from the corners, to points where the ramps could be applied in the manor
that I think that you would wish.
(please see the attached file).
I will forward the file to our developers to see if we could automatically improve the start points for similar
toolpaths in a future version."

Yes, when I change the stepover to 45% or higher I see the desired ramps. It sounds like you have a suitable workaround.
