3D Schoolyard Garden sign

Post by customquint »

We just completed this project that we donated to the schoolyard garden for Piqua City Schools (Piqua Central Intermediate School). We where contacted by Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce and Ruth Koon to come up with a Logo and Sign idea for their project. It was fun seeing this project come to life in 3D for the sign.

We originally quoted this sign as a reasonable flat sign with vinyl lettering and graphics to keep the project as economical as possible for the Schoolyard Garden project but felt that the design of logo would be a very cool 3D sign. So in order to deliver a sign that we wanted to be proud of we donated a complete 3D sign to the project.
The entire sign has 3D elements and it is all had painted and faux finished. We constructed the entire project in our shop.

Impressive design, looks like an innovative mounting scheme too that fits in with the general theme.

A sign serves a simple purpose, that is to make someone aware of what lies behind the sign, the business. There are lots of signs out there that 'try' and fulfill that purpose. In order for a sign to really gain someone's attention it needs to be an eye catcher! WELL DONE! That is one terrific 'eye catching' sign! Russ
