i am attempting my 1st nesting work and am cutting fairly small (3"X5") pieces with tabs. When I preview the toolpath, the view shows sporadic places around the piece cutting through the work and is pixilated due to the enlargement, I suppose. I have increased the view from standard to 7X, but the view remains pixillated. Do I need to trust the view, or the input (profile/.265 depth) in 1/4" mdf?

The settings you need to check are on the Toolpath Menu under Preview Simulation Quality. Small pieces cut out of large sheet with a small bit can pixilate so I'd go straight to the maximum setting.
The modelling resolution doesn't have any bearing on the preview settings.
