Tool path sequence

Post by MWinn »

I have created several projects where I first make sure the order of the toolpaths is what I want, usually the cutout of the project is last.
I then select all the toolpaths and save them as a single file.
I am using UCCNC and when I open the file and run it it starts with the cutout which was last in the list.

Am I missing something?

Questions...

1) Is there a post processor in the list that supports ATC (automatic tool changer) for your specific machine?

2) Are you actually using the ATC post processor when you calculate your toolpaths?

3) If "yes" to questions 1 & 2, are you assigning each bit its own exclusive Bit Number?

Is the box: "output Visible Toolpaths to One File" checked?

Does this UCCNC program need to have its tool list in the same order as your VCarve list? That is to say could UCCNC be remapping the order of your cuts based on some tool selection order that it might have.

No, UCCNC will cut exactly like the g-code is written.
