For over a year now I have been making signs at my Men's Shed with no problems.
I find the centre of the wood then zero. The machine starts goes up a little then comes down and starts engraving.
Last week the Z sensor was replaced and since then the machine does not work as it did.
I attach two files one before (YES)when things were fine as you can see by the red lines.
The one after(BOXLAUREN) shows quite a different movement from zero.
What have I done wrong? What do I check?
Is it Mach 3 or VCarve 8.5

Click the Set... button at the top of the toolpath tab and verify your home X,Y,Z positions. They are different in the two files and are the reason why the toolpath is starting where it is.

One file is .5 thickness and the other is .25 thickness.

What will matter is not what you bought but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave

Thanks Graham.
All is working well again.
I have no idea how that changed as it seems to have to be changed manually.
Thanks again
