"Dovetail Detect" part of gadget?

I can't get the "Dovetail Detect" part of the Dovetail gadget to work. I can get the second and third part to work without a problem (dovetail pin creator and dovetail toolpath creator). I've read the words over again and again. Highlighting different vectors. If someone could show me some pictures of what is suppose to be done I would appreciate it. Thanks

Have you been through the tutorial doing following every step exactly? I can't replicate your issue when doing that so I'd suggest going back to the tutorial and trying that to see if you can spot where the process is going wrong.
