Double-sided machining with tool path array copy

misaligned double-sided array copy
misaligned double-sided array copy
Hi

I have a double-sided model of a bowl lid with tool paths calculated and previewed for the single bowl. When I array copy the tool paths for the top side it all looks fine on preview but when I then array copy the underside with the same gap setting of 20mm and calculate and preview, the bottom side preview is misaligned. The first (last) lid underside looks fine but then the gap is progressively reducing as I look at the six lids in preview. The rebates on the underside are not lining up with their other sides. Is there a special trick when array copying the tool paths for a double-sided job? Please see attached. This is the underside.

Thanks.

It case it helps someone, if I change the array to be distance based on offset and not gap, then it works as expected. Lesson learnt.

Instead of trying to copy the array then pasting on the back side, select all the components on topside, then right click. Then select Copy to Other side. When you add tabs, do the same.
