Just playing around with some ideas of using other items with acrylic...
It adds a bit of texture to an otherwise flat design.

The "chips" are indeed glass, sorry to tell you that Gary...
The correct name for that type of glass is Dalle de verre...

The slabs come 8' x 12" x 1" and after cutting and chipping the edges you're left with piles of "chips".
Just more stuff to play with.
Here's a picture of the original project.
The process for this little item was a simple V-Carve and pocket into the clear acrylic.
Placing the "chips" and then using a exotic glass glue ( Hxtal ) with some red tint to adhere the glass to the acrylic..
It not really that " creative" just something that I've been thinking about for some time....using other materials in one project.

Wonderful Michael! I guess I'll have to start saving all those tiny bits from now on. Great way to make full use of every bit of glass! (And to think I've been sweeping the floor and throwing that away...)
