Nice I still have yet to try the foam. Like the finish on those. Thanks for sharing.

Where do you get the foam from? There are a few rigid insulation foam boards available through my Hardware store, about $10 for a 2' x 4' x 2" sheet of AMVIC foam. I don't know if it would work or not.

I cut them just they way they come from Lowes. I either paint them with UGL dry lok to give it a cement look. Or I paint them with ext. paint. all sides and edges. Since they are for Halloween and are only out a couple of days they seem to be holding up OK.

As a memorial mason I have had some funny inscriptions to carve.
Rev. John Thomas, and a Robert Early Cummings are two that come to mind.

Hello,
I saw this Halloween foam Tombstones and love the idea of making them out of foam.
My only question is how are they anchored to the ground? Even though they have a wide base, a light breeze would knock them over.

A while back I did some very large models from foam that I hand plastered with a cement mortar that turned out okay but wasn't as rigid as the Stryroplast. I'll give it a try on the next foam project. Thanks for the information. By the way, great job on the tombstones.
