Connect Four
Giant connect 4 I made for my works open house. Made out of a repurposed futon frame and some hardboard. Didn't use the CNC on this one but this project is what pushed me over the edge to build my next machine. Drilling 84 4 inch holes with a hole saw and a hand drill made me a believer that I need a bigger work area. So I have started collecting items for a 60 x 60 cut area machine. This build will have a full sized spindle which I can swap out with a plasma head and dabble in some metal work.

Can't wait to see your new machine, sounds like it will be fun to work with. Have thought about hooking up my plasma cutter to my machine, but thought of the slag mess makes me forget it pretty quick

You do realize that as soon as you finish the 60x60 machine, you'll realize you need a bigger one.dwilli9013 wrote:So I have started collecting items for a 60 x 60 cut area machine.

Don't ask me about how I know just how accurate Gerry's statement is ...
My own build logs are all over CNC Zone.

Re: Connect Four
I made a few for my brothers wedding a few weeks ago and they came out great
I made a slider thing to hold the circles in but all the weight makes it hard to move so i think next time ill do some kind of drop gate or something like that

Nice I like it. I had thought about the bottom slider but opted for the rotary type. Only problem there is they come out quite quickly and can get away from you.
