Asipre V 9.008(Build 3.832.3598.480)

Post by dachong »

I just bought a full version of Aspire 9.008 , updated it to the latest, running on windows 10, 64 bit
About Aspire shows Version V9.008(Build 3.832.3598.480)
Software hangs when trying to create a tool path

I installed it on another computer , it shows Version V9.008(Build 3.832.3598.480)(Software OpenGL), same OS
It works.

What is the difference between Version V9.008(Build 3.832.3598.480)(Software OpenGL) on the computer that works and V9.008(Build 3.832.3598.480) on another computer that does not.

I tried to reinstall the software on the computer that does not work, still the same

Please help

Probably best to contact support directly (support@vectric.com) as I expect this will take a lot of backwards and forwards with the specs of the two computers etc.

Does Aspire now utilize graphics accelerators? I thought it did not matter what graphics card you had, no performance gain would be seen. I'm asking this because of the notation above about (software opengl), seems to me then hardware opengl would be supported.

(Software OpenGL) means that it's doing the graphics on the software side / CPU not the GPU (vs. OS OpenGL). I think the fact that appears in one version and not the other could be due to when you've opened the 'About' dialog. If you open the dialog before you open / create any projects, it won't appear. Otherwise, it will. And in any case, this should be irrelevant to the issue you're having I believe.

As Adrian said, please contact support with details on both PCs, the type of toolpath you're creating, and the project with vectors you're calculating a toolpath for

Thank you
