We are cutting out arrows from chloroplast, and this is the first time we are using the router for something like this. I have been doing some research and so far I have stumbled across very little.
My question is, what would be the best bit to use for routing such a thing piece of material? Along with that what type of speeds and feeds would you try to use on something like this.
I am sorry if this is a dumb question but I am stumped. Thank you for any information.

Re: Cutting Chloroplast
Use single O flutes designed for soft plastic. you will have to play with rpm and feedrates to get rid of fuzzies

Another way is to use a drag knife. Depends if you're doing enough to make the investment in one worthwhile and what thickness of coroplast you're using.

Re: Cutting Chloroplast
I've always had issues with fuzzies when cutting coroplast. I've tried straight flute "o" bits and down-shear "o" bits, but I can never seam to get rid of the "fuzzies" problem.
Gary, what kind of speed and feeds are you using to overcome this issue?

John...
I'm not. But I can remember helping out a sign shop on a service call a few years back to get his dialed in.
Just like any other material, start at 50, plan on going up to 300. Rpm between 8000 and 18000. There will be a combo that works best
