Aspire 9 Manual

Post by Wayne Locke »

In previous versions of Aspire the disk included a manual. Is there such a file for 9 or will there be.

It's in Help/Help Contents

It is now in HTML format and is viewed in your internet browser.

My understanding is this allows the manual to be more easily updated (the most current version will display when connected to the internet).

If viewing the HTML software manual locally (from the HTML file on your computer), the manual may gradually become less current as changes or additions are made over time, so you may need to periodically save a new HTML version to replace the one that came installed with the software.

For old school users the manual was printable with a table of contents. The html is not.

Hi Wayne

I believe you should be able to print the HTML from your browser. See if your browser has a Print Preview and Print function. Maybe print out a few pages as a test to see if that is working alright for you.

The html is clickable but lacks a comprehensive "Table of Contents" so is not very useful off the screen.

Wayne

I'm thinking there might still be a bit of tweaking going on behind the scene for the manual. Someone from Vectric may be able to confirm this
