Re: Aspire 9
So I downloaded and installed the clip art expansion for Aspire 9, now where do I see what I got? The last choice in the clipart menu choices is Vectric Clipart, but that folder is empty.

Re: Aspire 9
Once downloaded, did you double click the .exe so that it would install?

Re: Aspire 9
Yes I did, accepted all conditions and it said that they were installed. Now if it is random clip art installed into various folders, so be it, I guess.

Re: Aspire 9
After further looking, it appears that the additional clipart is for Aspire users ONLY. I guess that's there way of enticing you to upgrade to
the Aspire version. It would have been nice if they would have thrown a few crumbs to us lowly V-Carve Pro users, but whatever!!!

Re: Aspire 9
When it installs there is a popup to tell you where it's installed. It should be in Public Documents/Vectric Files/Clipart. All the clipart from any of the portal downloads is installed there.redwood wrote:Yes I did, accepted all conditions and it said that they were installed. Re: Aspire 9
And if they are in Public Documents/Vectric Files/Clipart, should they be visible in my Aspire clip art library? Or do I need to do something else?

Re: Aspire 9
Ok, I got it. They are installed in their respective folders. To see what is new, I went to the Public Documents/Vectric Files/Clipart and clicked on the sub folders that had today's date. Then going through the subfolders you look for the files that are dated the day of the install. 50MB doesn't go very far with models.

Re: Aspire 9
I have the trial version up and running (Warning: you will want it) and as posted before- kudos
What I do not like- so far
The icons for switching between CAD to CAM on 8.5- positive On V9 the only way that I can see to switch between, the two- is that very tiny icon, top right/left.- I HATE it- negative
$500 worth of new clip art- I am purchasing something, yet I can't see the "item"- negative
Traing video's similar to previous versions.- please advise as to how...

Re: Aspire 9
You can still use <F12> to go to toolpaths and <F11> to go back to drawing

Re: Aspire 9
Thanks for mentioning that shortcut Randall....I hate the tiny icon as well in the new VCP.
Sometimes(months a year) it's MUCH easier to use the mouse and numeric and I can just see me trying to find that icon without unlocking my wheels, getting close to the screen, and resetting myself.
I know a person with slight visual impairment who can barely read all the icons as they were:(

Re: Aspire 9
I have never been a fan of short cut keys, probably because I can never remember which keys do what for the different software that I use & would often press the wrong keysRcnewcomb wrote:You can still use <F12> to go to toolpaths and <F11> to go back to drawing
Having said that I use the short cut keys to switch between drawing/toolpathing almost all the time, very rarely use the icons Must be that none of my other software uses those so I remember them for Vectric software

Re: Aspire 9
Funny, but on the other side of the coin, I like the new way better.
I am old, and cannot see as well as I used to, so the little ICONS are a bit of a pain, but I can get over that.
Larger ICONS would be nice.

Re: Aspire 9
Now you've got me confused Leo. The new way is a little icon and the old way is a big icon so I would have though you would prefer the old way!
Personally I have both tabs open all the time so I never switch anyway.

Re: Aspire 9
Not complaining by any means but I was really hoping for a shortcut key or right mouse button menu for the start line command.
Version 9 Aspire surely delivered on some big changes. I hope to utilize them all in upcoming projects as I progress.
It was certainly worth the wait.
