Dressage Sign for Friend

Post by chri879 »

Made this for a friend that is a dressage coach. Horse from included 3d models and flowers from Design and Make. It's African Mahogany with several coats of gloss water-based polyurethane and application of black dye to accent the text and horse.

Sorry, but this is outside my box of understanding.

What is Dressage?

Internet search talks about a high level of training of houses.

The sign is cool - nice wood - nice finish.

What I don't understand is the significance of the flowers and the music bars.

Can you talk about those things?
Maybe I am missing something.

I don't mean to be mean, I just don't understand.

Really nice looking sign and a great finish. I'm with Leo. I don't know what "dressage" means either.

Dressage is an expression of horse training. The horse and rider must perform a series of manuveurs from memory.

Great conversation about dressage. My friend is a master trainer. The flowers and music were my way of symbolizing the beauty and rhythm of the sport. I have enjoyed using African Mahogany for several small signs and plaques. I especially like how the black dye offsets its natural color and gain. Thanks for nice comments. -Chris.
