Making a line thicker

Post by Xxray »

Should be simple but I am having problems with this, and/or have not spent enough time trying to figure it out.

I have this shape and I simply want to make the line thicker, which I guess would mean more or less copying it and making it a double line, and pocket in between.
Simply copying it and enlarging it doesn't work as the fit is right in some areas and totally off in others. Any simple method to make this, or any line "thicker", or do you pretty much have to manually trace around it or something ?

I asked if there was a simple way and by golly, looks like that just might be it, thanks.
