Trestle table with bed of roses inlay

I made a trestle table for my daughter's apartment with a bed of roses inlay I created in Aspire. I used the rose model that came with the software and just copied, scaled, rotated, mirrored it and trimmed the components to fit. I think it came out nicely and hope you like it. Carved in red mahogany with a laquer finish.

Beautiful job, I know she will keep it for the rest of her life and pass it down to her kids. You just create a family heirloom! My uncle was a fantastic wood worker, he crafted china cabinets for each of his sisters. I now have two of them and they are the most cherished items we own. You have created such a piece.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Speaking of family heirlooms, the chairs pictured with the table belonged to my great grandparents, my daughters great great grandparents. I just cleaned them and refreshed the finish. They originally had caned seats, I made new cushions for them. They are over 100 years old, but still very sturdy. The design of the trestle leg was inspired by the chair back. All the wood for the table legs came from an old bed a friend was throwing away.
