WOW that is great work. Could you share the settings and tool you used with us?
I have been trying to work with Photovcarve for some time and have never gotten anywhere near what you have done.

Hi Jerry. I used maple. I think the lighter colored wood shows more contrast in the carving.

Looks very good, what was your process from start to finish if you don't mind explaining. it seems from all the posts that I have read that finishing is one of the most important aspects if you want good results.

martin54, yes it seems finishing is a big part of it, After carving, I sealed the whole surface with shellac. After waiting for that to dry I apply a coat of paint by brush then let that dry. Then I sand with 180 grit paper till I get the image to look the best I can. Then I apply several coats of shellac to seal it.
