So I got tired of a 3 x 8 work table that I could never work on because it became the resting place for all the sh!t I use around the shop. I also got tired of walking 60 feet to find the tool I needed.
I got some inspiration from Adam Savage (of Mythbusters) and a video he put up touring his "cave"/workshop.
Meet Timmy the tool cart...he's roughly 27" x 18" x 50".
I Frankensteined him together out of .75" MDF, .5" plywood and a melamine box I made over a year ago for a concrete sink mold. I also happened to have 4 casters I couldn't bring myself to throw away. All the hanger holes you see in the picture are mirrored on the other side.
He's ever expandable and customizable and I already have a list of hooks, magnets, pegs, etc. to improve him tomorrow.
Fun stuff.

Yep, great idea. I know I could use about 3 of these. Ok more like 6 of them.

: ) I watched a training video once that this wood worker put out. He asked the question: How many clamps do you need in a shop. His answer was 27. Why, because that is how many he had. Of course he was trying to be comical not that there was a real answer.

You forgot to add a tow hitch so Tommy can pull all the other carts you are going to need to make around the shop
Lets face it once you create some space it doesn't take long to fill up & then you need to create more space so you can fill that up as well !!!
Clamps, well I definitely haven't got enough but it is a work in progress

I have over 300 clamps now and that is not enough sometimes.
Thank You
