1929 Model A and 1935 Auburn
1929 Model A and 1935 Auburn
Between Rhino and Aspire, I've been working on my modeling, so using a couple of metal toy cars replicas, 1929 Model A Ford and a 1935 Auburn, I decided to add to the collection of the wooden cars I've been doing for my brother. He has both of the real Model A and the Auburn.

Nice job, how did you come about the design?
Re: 1929 Model A and 1935 Auburn
I started by buying scroll saw plans online, but the fenders were flat, and some of the other features was close but not actuate to the real car. In case of the Auburn, there were no plans available anyway. Using calipers on the toy models and a lot of practice in Rhino, I was able to get the complex parts. Parts like the wheels and bumpers were done with Aspire. My brother has a warehouse with a collection of the real antique cars, which gives me the idea on which old clunker to build next.

Your car models are wonderful, Gary. Really nice work. I bet you have a few less hairs on your head after figuring out the design layout for those! I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more "old clunkers" when you get around to it!

Dale, since I rarely clean my desk, it gives me more time with the leaf blower in the shop. GaryHow do you find time to keep your shop so clean....
