No one can accuse me of lack of variety Mick, thats for sure.
To me thats part of the beauty of CNC + software, you can basically try anything you want and only risk a few $$ of materials and a little time if it doesn't pan out.

Hi, beautiful work. What software do you use to create the mesh vectors?

Your work is amazing in both detail and clarity...very impressed....
I would like to give this a try and was wondering what Diamond Drag bit are you using to get such great results?
Thanks....

Thanks, this is the one I use
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-DIA-DIAMOND ... 4186889623
Reasonably priced, tip lasts near forever, etches a variety of surfaces and capable of great detail.
Might want to consider an extra tip at time of purchase anyhow, they will wear eventually and you'll save on shipping]

XRAY , your work is looking great as always , I just did my first two acrylic signs and I'am hooked now this is way better than doing litho's . And I'am going to order that drag bit you suggested . Did you just change your bases ? I like the wrap around lights . And the mesh is very impressive. Pop's

No my bases are the same, I did make a few round "bases" for clocks, just a circular frame with the plexi surrounded by lights so that it can be hung.
Other than that, same old basic design.

XRAY your work is very detailed! Also, Thank you for providing details about how they were done! Would it be possible to share any of your drawings so that I could have a go at them?

Ron is a great guy, if you are ever around the area stop in the shop [make sure to coordinate to make sure he is there, he is out and about alot].
You will be amazed at the things hes got, his shop is like a stairway to heaven its that good.

Xray, I can't seem to select the diamond drag bit when I try to use a pocket tool path or a profile tool path. Can you help me out with this? I just got it and am just trying some lines as a test but I can't select the tool.
Can you post an example if you were to cut a circle or square or something easy just to get me going please?
Thanks.

Re: 3d mesh pitbull edge lit sign
Here are the results I have so far. Have a look and feel free to suggest improvements please. I would only like it to be filled better so it looks more smooth. I guess just a smaller stepover?
Oh and the maple leaf has a real difference in contrast, depending on bit direction it seems. As part of the leaf stands out more than the other. What would cause that?
Do you run the file more than once to get more depth?
Thanks.
