Very good examples of fluting, I already linked some people in to see photos to show what I was trying to explain.

I Guess just about everything :) Was the texture pattern in the panel done with fluting and you repeated curves until you got a pleasing pattern in preview? I see how you did relief for the stiles on top-Nice. On that lip on the bottom are there elliptical pockets on that ledge, or just a sloping surface for elbows or aesthetics?
Cutting a sloping surface right now as a pocket for business cards with a .75 bowl bit(tried 1/4down,1/2up,1/2straight yesterday) and was going nuts trying to get the cut time practical and kept getting lines even with .04" line spacing(pain to sand pockets that small in production mode), and THEN I remembered your stuff and instead of trying to ELIMINATE lines, I decided to accentuate them :) Just beginning to look good at .3 spacing and Just about to go .5"BN.
THANKS (cut time down to 1:55 from 7-9minutes :)

scott, the three inset panels were cut using paul rowntree's wavy wobble gadget. I modified it a little. the rails and stiles around those panels are plain and square to not take away from the the panels. glad you thought to accent the grooves instead of trying to hide them. this is the most sharing group have ever been associated with. ted

Hey B, Still need to dial in feeds for .85 cherry as slight tearout when it hits the end of a .5" slope, but Dad loved it so did his bookkeeperess :) Could be as simple as going conventional or changing pass depth to less than .1" for .5 BN. Playing with it but nothing 3m RadialBristeDisc won't take care of fast.
Thanks! A lot easier in this case to "Celebrate" it instead of trying to hide it! 1:37 per... Still FAST. Thinking straight side of bowl and tray bit might help vs. upcut .5BN. Maybe cut with grain also, although like longitudinal grain flow better.

These are great, I wonder if vectric & Paul of course realised just how versatile the flutting gadget would be & the range of uses people would put it to. Really need to look at trying some of this out myself when I get a bit more experience with the machine & the software.
