pedestal for bronze I just completed

Post by MarkJohnston »

I just finished making a pedestal for a bronze artist that I have work for a long time. The last picture is a pedestal that I did for him a long time ago and the side plaques were done by a guy with a laser machine. He wanted a new pedestal that would open for storage inside for a client. I carved the doors, side plaques and back plaque for the project using Vectric models from the "Design and Carve western series" instead of using the laser cut plaques. It was a fun project and I thought it turned out well. He picked it up Monday and will install the bronze and deliver it, he was very happy.

Thanks for looking.

If I might ask who is the sculptor? Looks like somebody I used to cast for. Thanks Dan

The bronze artist is Bradford Williams and I believe he gets his castings from Montana. He is truly a great artist. He has been doing it for a long time and has won numerous awards. The particular bronze that this pedestal is for sells for $23,000. I don't know how many of that particular bronze he has sold but I've been his woodworker guy for 6 or 7 years.

Thanks again for all the compliments especially from some of the best I've seen on this forum.
