Davy Jones Locker

Post by esteeme1 »

Please bare with me I didn't have a lot of time for photography and I'm really not satisfied with the pics but I have to say the shadow box is over the top. The port holes of course set everything off and really make the thyme work. Yes the retiree name is "Davy Jones". How fitting is that? :D This will be gifted to a US Navy Diver of 20 years. All was finished in my shop including the laser engraving.

Jim, Beautiful and detailed craftsmanship as always.
“Over the top”? Since it is a tribute to someone who served for 20 years; maybe it is allowed … but this time only.
Thanks for sharing.

Ya Joz,

"Over the Top" might be a little strong. I should let me appraisers decide that. As far as the content goes maybe I should of said something like, "Deep, Real Deep". :D

If I said all the modeling was done in house by me would it make a difference?

Thanks very much guys. Fathoms Deep it is. Tom I really had a great time at McGrew's last year but I'm afraid me schedule will not allow for a trip this year. Your more than welcome to stop by here on your way down or on your way back.

Thanks guys, This was a fun project. I'm just afraid that every one will want me to cut portholes in their shadowboxes now.
