'wavy' doors for bathroom vanity
Decided to make some wavy doors for a bathroom vanity, so I could integrate the pulls into the wood. Had to do a little hand carving with gouges to undercut the pulls, but I think they turned out very nice.
Used 6/4 walnut, total carve time was 1hr 6 minutes (1/2" ball nose, 7% stopover, 600ipm with no rough cut, depth of carve was .75" maximum). Got them dry fit on one side of the vanity, still need to make the second side and the toe kicks, then apply the finish.

A beautiful design. It reminds me of work done by the late Sam Maloof. I like it.

The drawers looks great and the wood looks stuning. Can't wait to see them fisished. (and I am sure I will not show this post to my wife)

2 rail sweeps for the design, and then just a raster finish tool path with a 1/2" ball nose. Then I had to create the undercut for the handles with hand tools (gouges).berzerko wrote:really like it.. reminds me of a dresser i built 25 years ago, except I had to use hand routers chisels and rasps

The grain is matched perfect, was that one big 6/4 slab?

4 pieces glued up, out of 2 separate boards. I buy my wood in 1000bf lifts, and it usually comes well matched for colour.
