Interlocking Initials

Post by kandw »

I like this project! Cut from cherry measures approx. 12x12 and painted with hammered black then airbrushed gold and copper!! I used a 0.125EN to do the cuts...

font is called vines monogram..

However this font has a very strange extensive EULA. I wonder if the EULA is not enforceable???

You can use it for yourself and purchase it at a low price. But if you make things to sell they want $90 bux or something like that.

https://www.fontbros.com/ This is the place I think you are asking about. Look it over real good because the they have more than one style of "vine" or interlocking initials types...joe

Hey there Mr. K&W. I found the font that you used and now it says it has like 15 open vectors. So I cant run a profile toolpath on it. Did you have trouble like that also?. I also went into node editing and deleted some overlapping vectors. I think that you did too. Anyhow can you look at the file that I attached and see if you can find where I went wrong.
thanks so much Perry

There is nothing wrong with what you did, however with this font you will need to go into node editing mode and cut overlapping vectors, then close them to the remaining vector. I worked on a couple of them and it can be done with little effort.
