My First Photovcarve Project
Made this memorial plaque for an old high school buddy, who lost his son in a motorcycle crash. Did some editing in photoshop, then carved in vcarve pro, in 1/2 inch corian, and finished with black oneshot in the grooves and letters.

Re: My First Photovcarve Project
Thanks tony, It was orginally a photo of him and his daughter, but his expression was perfect for a memorial plaque. Had to do a lot of editing in Photoshop, but i was pleased with how it turned out.. To the best of my recollection my settings were Carving depth 0.04, Linespacing 120%, Rapid cearance gaps 0.06, 33 degree angle, 60 degree vbit, at 90% contrast. I need to make notes when something comes out good...

Re: My First Photovcarve Project
Benny,
I write notes all the time I do a project. I keep a folder of all my projects on my desktop. In my note I save the file, save toolpaths and put down what tool was used for roughing and finish work also profile cuts. never know when you have to make another.

I always make notes when I don't have good results too. I don't want to do "that" again.bennyb wrote: I need to make notes when something comes out good...
