Lilly carving
Lilly carving
This is a screen shot of a lilly I've been working on. Thanks to Paco and Paul for their assistance. The original drawing came from Dover's web site. I used the flat area clearance tool strategy for recessing the background.

Can't find the original file
Phil,
Did you have to buy a full CD or can you download the individual file that you used here?
I would like to use the elements in that file for something else. Do you have a link?

do they come as vector or bitmap images?Phil wrote:Attached is the original jpg that I downloaded from Dover. I signed up for their free samples. Every week I get an e-mail from Dover with a link to some freebies.

This is the Inkscape converted vector in EPS format. If you don't have Inkscape you can download it from http://www.inkscape.org/ It's great for converting images to vector format for VCarving.

Hi Bart,
Inkscape is very easy to use and seems to a good job, but as with all vectorizing
software a loy depends on the quality of the original artwork.
There's a thread in the Tips & Tricks forum with more details,
