saving a 3d image and using it in another project

Hello all new here
I recently purchased aspire and think its the greatest thing everrr!! I currently created several 3d's of quail and a dog, I created them separate and saved them. Now I want to create a plaque and incorporate these files into it, but everytime i try to open them it erases my plaque and inserts my dog or quail. Am i saving them wrong

open 2 copy of aspire... (2 instance) at time... in the first create your plate, in the second (instance) open the dog...
select dog (as component) and copy, right click on the selected greypicture, and in the popup menu select copy...
go in the other open aspire, right click in the 2d window, any clear point, and select paste...
when both model is in, then you can align them to each other and set both to add or merge...

Sounds like you're trying to open rather than import the second file which replace the first one.

You should use the Import Component/3D Model item instead of Open.
