Top Secret (Until Tomorrow)

Post by JamesB »

Shhhh! Don't tell anyone.

If you look on this page: http://www.vectorart3d.com/machinist_free/
you will find some new FREE models for use with VA3D-Machinist (Cut3D and Aspire too).

Also if you put in your name and email you will be sent a link to a new version of Machinist (1.2) this allows you to asymmetrically scale parts (the aspect ratio is no longer fixed). This means you can distort the parts out of their original shape (within reason) and set precise sizes. See images below for an example.

Cheers,
James

hello all

james it's really good news... the machinist the most """weird"" for me of all vectric program... against it's free it works almost the fastest of all program...when i turn off the toolvisualization it's computing a complex 3d less than a minute...
anyone can try it... the two "cheapest" program cut2d and free machinist the fastest...

no other site offer so complex like this... models with free program...

combined vith cut2d these makes wonderful things... (of course with these models)....
it really nice gesture these new free models...

thanks
viktor

this time i'm a little busy with works around house... i just try to make a 12x12 building to clear my shed-shop... and the yard makes a lot work...2acre with wooden... i hope this week i get trough with everything and i can return to "normal" life...

Is your FTP site down? I can not download the model. I get the error message that site can not be found. I am using Google Chrome as a browser.

It is working correctly, Chrome does not support FTP downloads correctly (to the best of my knowledge) so you will have to use IE or Firefox to be sure of it working.

Thanks,
James

I also had a few hang ups when trying to download with IE. I just figured the lines were tied up with everyone trying to get it at the same time. I tried few minutes later worked fine....

Aspire would be hard to learn if he kept secrets.
