Dealing with unwanted vector boundaries

Post by JTEagle »

I'm doing a project using Design and Make wildlife models. Started with making log stile frame and then done the layout. When I do the toolpath everything is fine until the profile pass. When doing the vector boundary tool it does both inside and outside boundaries of the frame. I just need the outside vectors profile cut, if I cut the inside the layout will fall from the frame. So how do I delete the inside vectors so it won't be cut?

Thank you all for any and all help,

John

If I understand what you want to do....
Ungroup the boundary vectors and delete the vectors you don't want to use....

Yes Highpockets that is what I'm trying to do. Just need to profile cut on the outside of the frame. I have tried to upload the file and pictures but every time I do it kicks me out of the message board.

Thank you,
John

Here's an example....

I don't know what your model is, but this will do.
Image 212.png
After creating the vector boundary you'll have two (or maybe more) vector boundaries in a group.
Image 213.png
Click on the vector boundary and right mouse click then select Ungroup. Note: you can also just press "U" to ungroup the vectors.

Then just choose the vectors you don't want and delete them.

Hope this helps.
