If you get a drop in Z for no apparent reason in the middle of a file, you are losing steps in your Z axis motor. There could be many reasons for this, but all of them are machine issues, and not related to the model or the design software (though certain designs could cause you to lose steps more than other designs).

You could very well be right so I may have to look at switching out the motor. It just seems odd that the errors occur in similar positions of the model.
