Re: Wine pairs nicely with a D&M CNC project!
I'm a newbie here and am just starting out with my CNC Shark and Vcarve Desktop 8.5 software. I took the plunge and purchased a few items from D&M, Wine Bar 2 is one of them. I follow all the steps as in the video, when I machine the rough carving the machine works fine, when I go to the finish tool path the machine tries to move to a totally different location then the rough toolpath. I checked the X & Y locations within the software, they are located in the bottom left corner, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Did you move anything on your layout after calculating your toolpaths? Maybe your design layout was in one location when you calculated the Roughing, then you moved the design and then calculated the Finish Toolpath? Doing so would make the Roughing and Finishing to be in separate locations. Try re-calculating ALL your toolpaths and see if that fixes the problem.
Be sure to run the Toolpath Preview to verify everything is carving exactly as you planned. In fact, you should have been able to see whether the Roughing and Finishing Toolpaths were "off" from each other by watching the Preview initially.
Please holler if you have other questions.

Re: Wine pairs nicely with a D&M CNC project!
Nothing was moved but I started getting an error now, after some research I was able to determine that the power on my USB port (new computer) is either low or fluctuates. I purchased a USB Hub (amplified / powered) which appears to have corrected all the issues I've been having. Just odd that the roughing pass worked and any second attempt would fail.
Thanks for the reply!
