Another design and make question

So I purchased the new thanksgiving project..I've got it all set up as to how I want to carve it...Banner is on the bottom...Can someone direct me as to how I need to go about cutting this out? I use v-carve pro..I usually use the trace bitmap feature and then make a profile cutout..( Circles are easy ) but with the banner I can't get it to trace...I'm assuming there has to be a way to carve these projects out and adding tabs without doing a trace bitmap..Did'nt see anything here in the forum, but then I might have overlooked something as well..Any help greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance

Figured it out...Never knew what the create vector in the modeling tab was for....Guess I need to study the software more...
