VA3D Catalog on your website

Post by JamesB »

Hello all, hopefully you have found the unbranded PDF catalog useful (I have had not feedback positive or otherwise)? As previously discussed we have been working on a way that our customers can show our catalog (to their customers) on an unbranded web site or on their own website. I hope to launch this next week but if anyone wishes to try it out then I thought I would preview it here.

What will this allow you to do?

Either have a dedicated web page branded with your company name that shows our catalog or incorporate the catalog into your own website. From there your customers can browse our up to date library and choose from the designs (or use the search) - if they find one they like they can send you an email (from the site) with their choice and you can quote them :) - this also handily sends you a link so that if they place the order you can purchase the file from us easily...

As an example I have set up an account for myself (Carve_3D), you can see the standalone web-page version here: http://carve_3d.carvecatalog.com/

Or you can see how this might be incorporated into your website here:
http://www.carve3d.com/index.asp?pageID=49
Note this is a page on my custom-work site - I just pasted the link we provide into the relevant page frame for this to appear. Note you will need a space of at least 660 pixels to accomodate the individual model screen and request area (on my website I don't have enough space when you click through to an individual model!)

We hope this will be useful to you, to apply to set up an affiliate account click here and fill in the info: http://www.vectorart3d.com/affiliates/
We have to approve each account to try and stop anyone doing something dodgy but I will try to get to them ASAP.

I look forward to your feedback on this or people trying it out.

Cheers, James

Bonjour Paco, I can hardly speak English - let alone French :) Actually you can write you own custom message so at least that could be in French although I am afraid the model names and search will only be in English. Cheers, James

James - Thank-you! This is an awesome solution. Much more than what I was expecting. Will you send me the link - or do I use the link in your posting?

Also, I just signed up for the affiliate account and after I submitted my application, I decided that I could have written a better Welcome Message. Is there or will there be a way for us to change that in the future?

Thanks again. I think the web site idea is great and I am looking forward to getting the link embedded. 8)

Not sure whether you have access to edit it after its setup but I do. So you can just email your new message or other changes and I can copy and paste them into your profile. Glad you like it - those who have signed up please let me know whether you have any problems or not?

Thanks,
James

(PS I am not working today - can you tell...)

James:

Yesterday I took the time to update my website by putting a link to your catalog. WOW! What an incredible solution you guys came up with. It was extremely easy and worked just like you said it would. Thank-you.

www.tradient.com

I will be sending emails out to my customers and contacts to draw their attention to the catalog today and I am in the process of designing an advertisement to run in the classifieds next week. With Christmas approaching, now is the time to start the push.

Thank you very much !!!!

I am glad it worked. We should be launching it officially tomorrow or next week (although it is already fully operational). I appreciate those who have tried it so far and encourage others to check it out. Signing up only take a minute or two: http://www.vectorart3d.com/affiliates/

Thanks,
James

James,
Is there any way to make is so we do not get redirected to your site if someone adds www to our address?
http://carve_3d.carvecatalog.com/ will work fine but if you add www
http://www.carve_3d.carvecatalog.com/ we end up at your site.

Good news - our web guys have fixed this so even with the www in front it just re-directs to the standard link now so there should be no problem. Thanks,
James

This is a really neat tool that our customers can use to help them pick out a design that we can produce for them. I am looking forward to the use of this tool after my request has been approved

Thanks, Rick
