Joining 3DArt

Post by bakerkr »

I was thinking about purchasing the "Molding 1 and Corner 1 Leaf 3D files in hopes of joining the molding 1 and Corner 1 to create a frame. Is this possible and if so, how difficult would it be.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

what you want to do is possible but takes a bit of work and you need VA3D Machinist, the V3M format models and also VCarve Pro. Create toolpaths in VA3D Machinist on each model and save the V3M part with the toolpaths in it (I like to give it a different name when I do this). Then you can import the V3M toolpaths into VCarve Pro and rotate, move and position the files so they all line up. Only downside is it might take some time and each part will be cut individually. I did do this once as an example and the image is attached.

James -

Yeah, that does sound like a lot of work. It was just a thought.

Thanks for the help.

Kevin
