Deer Mural

Post by nitecreate »

Twice now I've tried to run #50660H mural and twice it's been ruined at the same spot. Right at the rear of the first deer on the left hand side of the mural. For one pass the Z drops making a deep grove in the material. After that pass the Z then goes back to the proper height and finish's just fine... This is being done on the finish pass only. At that point I'm about 6 hours into the job. Being the fact it’s happened twice in the same area, I really question that it’s my machine? Is there a chance that it’s a programing problem??? Before I give it another try, does anybody have an explanation???

 I feel your pain as I have had several pieces ruined recently by the same phenomena. Are you using Mach3? If so I can give you some insight (but no solutions yet) as to what I have found is happening in my case.

Are you using a Shark? I had something similar happen to me. I would loos Z reference in the same spot as well. I changed my SD card and didn't have the problem ever again. If you change the SD Card use the same material and set your Z reference as deep as the error you may be able to save it.
