I'm learning to use in photovcarve. Wanted to know how to make a multipass strategy. For example, 3 passes of 2 mm, for a total of 6 mm depth, without having to make 3 different files, in roughing.

Re: Depth of cut
6mm is pretty deep for a photovcarve toolpath.
You should be able to do what you want by changing the pass depth on your chosen tool. If you set it to 2mm then it won't cut deeper than that in a single pass.

Re: Depth of cut
Does that mean that if the Pass Depth is 2mm and you program a 4mm cut depth that the program will automatically make 2 passes???

Re: Depth of cut
That's correct Win. The tool will not go deeper than the pass depth, on each pass.
If you final depth is .5 inches, and you've set the tools pass depth at .1875 you'll get 3 passes.
1: .1875
2: .1875
3: .125
