After seeing Dave's work and all the other excelent litho jobs, I decieded to give it a whirl.
Turned out pretty good.
Depth was .08 with a 10% stepover....using a .040 ball cutter. Cut time was about 8 hours at 20ipm
Actual size is about 9x7
Angelina makes for a great test subject. These jobs get alot of wow effects with people.
Can't see any profits unless I speed it up or cut it a night while I'm sleeping
Now thats a ideal...money while I sleep.

Money while you sleep is very good, thats if the 22000 rpm screaming money making banshee doesn't keep you up.
They do look amazing and definatly would reach a good price however the cut time has always put me off for being financially unviable.
what material did you cut into?
Regards
Bart
Hey Bart,
The noise would be a issue, thats for sure...but, my machine has a 40 inch square footprint,
so building a sound proof enclosure out of 8020 extrusion would be rather simple.
Something to think about.
The material is Glacier White Corian. The stuff i got was 1/2 inch thick so I wasted alot.
Cutting it down sure made a mess...
I have cut them in half on the bandsaw since then to get twice as many blanks.

Thanks Larry,Lrob wrote:Very Nice Chuck. I would bet Brad would pay a good price for it.
How are you holding down the corian to the table?
Larry
The piece is held down with printing plate mounting tape. Its made by 3M. Kinda like double sided tape.
It works very well, plus its free....the guys at work save me there scraps and all you need is a small amount.
