Question regarding PhotoVcarve?

Post by copythat »

I'm sure this truly is a stupid question but does Aspire include everything PhotoVCarve offers?

Aspire can do everything that PhotoVCarve does but it does it in a slightly different way.

I have been doing the 3d carvings offered in Design and Make. I use Vcarve desktop 8.5 and v3m is the file names that I can use . Is it possible for my setup to do more using the grayscales that I see online? Also, how much $ is the Photocarve program to do this and where can I purchase it?

VCarve can import many different 3D file formats. STL, Rhinio (3DM), Sketchup (SKP), Artcam (RLF), 3D Studio (ASC, 3DS, PRJ), DirectX (X), DXF, LightWave (LWO), VRML (WRL) and Wavefront (OBJ).

The limitation is that the V3M format is the only one that lets you import multiple different models at the same time.

PhotoVCarve can be purchased from the Vectric website - http://www.vectric.com/store.html
