Hello guys, i hope someone can help me
The company i work for casts bronze plaques, text with a stippled background.
we are also trying to engrave add on text and stipple background
So using PhotoVCarve, i imaging black is the lower area and white is the higher area.
so with this mindset i made a image with white text and included the stipple background.
final results:
Compared to the bottom text which is casted, it still not quite right..
I've emailed Vectric support team for help, they suggested me to make the text transparent via the program
the text dissappears..
Im hoping someone here can help me how to get this set up right
Using PhotoVCarve to engrave text with texture background?

Not sure PhotoVCarve is the right program to do this. With VCarve you would use vectors to stop the background texture encroaching onto the letters but with PhotoVCarve you would have to create a border around the letters in the actual picture itself using whatever program created that image. It would need to be in a colour that left the white letters proud but blended with the background.

I used Photoshop to create that image and yes i also thought about adding a black border around the text, i will try that next
Re: Using PhotoVCarve to engrave text with texture backgroun
put a black border around the text.. and here are results
Cuts around the text are definetely cleaner, but some spots where it cut a little bit too deep.. not sure why (eg "1982")
Aspire might be a better option?
