cutting to Walnut
If you are going to be doing photographs I think you will find that walnut is too dark for good results. For photos select a light colored wood with minimal grain such as hard maple.
I seen some use 60 Degrees also. What are the thought process for 60 degrees vs 1/16 or 1/32 ball tapers? Any experienced advised would be helpful.
a V-bit that comes to a sharp point will allow for greater detail, and they tend to be less fragile. (my opinion)
