Do this;
1. Open a new session of Photo V-Carve
2. Create a project
3. click on save.
4. Write down where the file is saved to......

Your lost G-Code file should be in there.
If not, do a search on you machine for a .TAP file

Control +F ,,,, type in *.tap

It should be noted that you need to have Windows Explorer open to preform the Chrl-F search.

Reading between the lines are you sure it's the gcode you want and not the PVC file? You say you have VCarve as well as PhotoVCarve so are you importing into VCarve and then outputting from there? Just a bit confused about where VCarve and easel come into from your description.

Thank you all, I have watched the tutorial and it states save the g- code which I do, from the drop down menu, but when I open Easel to import it it does not show up , I use Easel all the time to import toolpath's from V carve and it works fine, I just click choose file and it's there, I will try what Michael said Tomorrow

When you click to save the gcode from PhotoVCarve you get a window open the same way you do on VCarve and you choose where to save the gcode.

It's a standard windows save file dialog the same as any other program. Where your gcode is might not be the same as where your PVC file is if you changed folders in the dialog when saving either of them.

If you're used to having Easel importing from the same location each time then you'll need to save your PVC gcode in the same place you're saving you're saving your VCarve gcode and it will pick it up assuming you're using the same file extensions. If VCarve is saving a TAP file and PVC is saving an NC file then that might be part of your problem. Double check the post processors are using the same extensions.

Thank's Adrian, you were spot on, the PVC file was a TAP file and Vcarve file was NC they were going into my documents, when I tried to import them to Easel the NC file was showing up but not the TAP file, but there is a drop down menu with a choice of customised files or all files, and I found that selecting all files option included the TAP file , and that seems to have solved the problem, I need to learn more about files, thank you all for your help
